Meet a SAM! - Thomas Gasthuber

What’s a SAM? Internally, we call our support technicians SAMs (SkyKick Account Managers) because of their level of technical expertise and their collaborative, consultative approach to helping partners. When partners call into our free, unlimited phone and email support, they immediately get someone with the knowledge to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve Partner questions.

This week we’re featuring Thomas Gasthuber, a recently hired Product Specialist at our new office in Amsterdam. So that makes him an AmsterSAM!

  • How long have you been at SkyKick? Four months
  • What attracted you to SkyKick? The people and all the cool technology under the hood.
  • What do you like most about your role? I enjoy that we are encouraged to take as much time as needed to help our partners be successful, to keep our eye on their results, not the clock. Plus, no day is like the other.
  • What do you love about working at SkyKick? The SkyKick team without question is a bunch of cool people whom I look forward to working with every day, and hanging out with outside of work as well!
  • What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Hiking and travelling with my girlfriend.
  • What is something about you that surprises people when they get to know you? I can be funny.
  • What is one of your favorite movies? Star Wars Episode 4
  • What is one of your favorite movie lines? Han Solo in Episode 4: "Never tell me the odds!"
